Board of Directors Special Meeting Minutes

Long Hill Station, Groton, CT

June 5, 2007

Present:  President, Ed Welch, Vice President, Peter Legnos, Clerk Nancy Beckwith, Treasurer Thomas Santacroce, Director at Large, Alan Ackley, Administrative Assistant Jamie Muhlack

Absent:  Chief Todd Paige, Deputy Chief Russell Shaw, Fire Marshall Michael Richards

 At 6:05 PM the President announced the call to order with the time, date and place.  Roll call was taken to establish a quorum.  Jamie Muhlack presented current Mil-Rate calculations with figures showing receipts year to date.  Peter Legnos asked J. Muhlack if the insurance premiums had been received yet and discussed insurance reimbursement programs. A brief discussion between the Board of Directors ensued as to whether the 5.4 mill rate or the 5.5 mill rate would be appropriate. 

 MOTION:  P. Legnos moved a 5.4 mill rate be set for the FY 2007-2008 tax season.  N. Beckwith seconded the motion.  Motion passed unanimously. 

 President E. Welch and Treasurer T. Santacroce signed the FY 2007-2008 tax warrant for mailing to the Town of Groton. 

  MOTION:  At 6:20,   it was MOVED, SECONDED and CARRIED to adjourn.
